Mary , u can go thru wordlist or go through various threads partaining to CAT on this forum. When you have finished your syllabus you can attempt Mocks in the office library.
You can go through multiplication tables, sq root, cubes & solve sums which are uploaded on various website of the coaching forums.

Ppl,
Pretty much all that is to be said about prep by those who are working, has already been said in this thread.
I have only one thing to add...
What works for one guy almost never works for any other person in the CATland.
On that note remember that...

...during your preparation phase, the amount of time you spend on your weak areas should initially be higher than your strengths, but as D-Day approaches swing the pendulum slowly towards your strengths.

That's the way to go. Remember this is my analysis for the working junta who don't have the whole day preparing for CAT.

As I said what works for me may not work for me.

I blog here

Regarding selection of institute .... - 03-07-2006, 10:38 AM

Hi..
I m a 2005 pass out IT engineer. At present i m working in a software firm. 8 months hav been passed but i dont find any meaningful work here,Although i hav these 8 months as my work exp. but only i know that its same as zero exp. Because of this my frustration is growing day by day.
Last to last year(CAT 2004) i got 89 percentile and converted IMT Nagpur.I thought i'll go for better options after 2-3 years of work exp. so i didn't joined there.
But now i m not at all satisfied with my job and i want to do an MBA this year only.
I m a bit confused....which college I should apply for.
Atleast after 2 years of my MBA i should be in a better position than what i may be after 3 years of software experience.
Please suggest upto what level down the line i should go for......and the approx. required percentile for those colleges.
People say that after 1 year of exp. u should go for IIMs only.....otherwise its a pure waste. But i dont think so....
I can manage a percentile bet. 90-95, and at the time of CAT 2006 i'll hav a minimum exp. of 1 year.
What all colleges i should apply for??????????

I guess with a work experience of 1-1.5 yrs. and pc between 90-95 you can apply to S.P.Jain,Nirma,IMT.Also you can try NMAT (Narsee Monjee),SNAP(SIBM) and ICFAI (HYD)..Anything below the top ten inst.'s is not worth it..
