hey dude ,
i am akash.thx 4 startinga thread on imt ghaziabad.wat can i expect the cut-offs to be for imt ghaziabad in cat.i am planning 2 apply for itt.i am in mid 80-90% with work ex-of 7 months.let me know do i stand a gud chance getting a call. otherwise,plz tell me wat cutoff i can expect for imt to get a call-------------

Hi,
Can you please let me know whether IMT (G) considers overall cutoffs or sectionals in CAT, going by last year's trend? I do know that overall cutoff last fall was around 96 Percentile. Am weak in QT, want to know if I can hammer the verbal, at the cost of Qt (Perhaps 4-5 questions only in QT).

Hi Akash...
Well the cut offs for any school can not be predicted with great accuracy in advance.. however , going by the past trends, it should be some where in the range of 97 percentile ( we had 96 percentile as the cut off last year )
As for your work ex, i think its decent enough to give you some advantage. usually the preferred experience is around a year.
I would suggest you to show your competency across each section in the paper... we just might go in for sectional cutt offs.

like i said earlier too... no one can tell you for sure about the posibility of sectional cut offs... however what i can assure you is that if you score >80 percentile in your quants,( which might be somewhere around 6-7 questions or less) you can be fairly confident of getting a call provided you have a 96+ over all.

imt guys help,
i created an account and started going online application. in the field for cat registration number, they have indicated that we shud write our 2 digit centre code and then the 7 digit registration number. looked at my admit card and it doesnt have the centre code. has only the 7 digit number. i left the field blank and filled up the other details thinking that i cud fill that up later. now when i log back on, it says i have finished furnishing the details and only lets me view what i have written.
what do i do?
do i create a new account when the field for cat registration number is straightened?

Dont worry.. I'll need to consult with the officials involved in the process before i can tell you the remedy... I'll try n do it today ( we have out mid term exams on). In any case i'll do my best to let you know what you can do.

Dude...

your solution is here.. spoke to the admissions deptt. they said that you need to create a new login Id and then register the new details in the form. You can create as may IDs as you need to fill up the form correctly.

thank u...that was prompt and helpful.now regarding the cat reg. no. field...only 7 digits is given in the admit card and u've asked for 2+7. will be really helpful if u can clarify that also. does the centre code refer to the city code (i dont have the cat bulletin with me currently and i dont remember if the code for bangalore city was a 2 digit number)? also, i dont know if every centre inside a city has a separate code. nothing is mentioned in the admit card abt that.thanks in advance,prashant
