telling about IMDR in short,its amoung the oldest bschools in india.Estab in 1974,it is regarded as a good institue to complete ur management studies. One amoung the unique things about IMDR is its economical fee structure (total 56,000) and the amizing part is that you will get a decent enough placement that fetch you around 3k an annum(higest package offered was 4.7 and lowest was 2.3(FCB Ulka (ad agency dont pay much, and the most of the salary ranged around 3-3.5). Also IMDR is known its culture which allows student to be himself and to be independent. there is lot more to tell and i will adress it in coming days

Pgdit...is the post graduate diploma in international trade offered by IMDR...the admission to this course is through own entarnce conducted by IMDR follwed by group work and interview(only for shortlisted candidates)...this yer it is rumoured that CAt scores will be taken for PGDIT(But plz await confirmation...i would do it in couple of dayz)...about the placement...the minimum pay package goes to 2.5 lakhs..but again it is the efforts taken by the students,previous work ex..because some seniors were offerd around 65 lakhs...the companies visiting the campus for palcement are mostly logistics ,shipping,export-import houses,firms haviing internatioinal operations...the profile one normally gets is international marketing.
The good part about the institute is the fees one pays so the overall return on insvestment so to say is great....the freedom one gets and time one gets for oneself is far more than most other institutes..situated in Pune which is by and large a student city is another advantge.
People interested would(i presume) be applying are IIFT ,SIIB and Pune universtiy(department of economics offers a one year course in forgein trade)..Imdr would also be a good option.I hope this helps .
