Aditi,
u said u have 2 years work ex......in what industry.......and after 2 years u can easily decide whether ur aptitude is for technical job or management job but still in my view it is better to do MBA as finally after 4-5 years of experience u r going to manage.....whatever industry u r in............so go for MBA and bucks r never a problem in management carrier if u do it from a college worth its name.

if your good at what you do,you'll shine in whatever you take...shine=BIG BUCKS too....

so just do some introspection, and think about what you like and what you really want to do,no sense in doing something cause,it gives you good cash....

Think about it this-a-way:lets say you do an ms and you discover something big,you get a patent and you make loads of cash....

At the same time, you could start a company and make it grow, and still make loads of cash...

so its an entirely personal decision...go for your passion and what interests you......

Remeber, work like you dont need the money! make money work for you....dont work for money...hey I'm getting pretty good at this!

Dear ACES HIGH,

introspection is fine...but it does not help with the dilemma...

i mean its cool 2 say tht make money work 4 u....but easier said than done.
besides I need 2 know frm ppl in similar situations(those who've decided on either field or those u've finished the degrees)

so,its a vvvvv perplexing situation,

thanks 4 ur gyaan anyway

ADITI

ok to tell you the truth,I'm a lil' confused myself ....I'm sitting on the fence, but for me it's either cat or gre,so will take my decision after cat,if i do well in cat, good, else i'll fly off to the U.S...the damn problem when you like both is that when you get up one morning, you feel like a technocrat and the next day it's like YUCK! i dont want to be a geek,I'm a cool executive, taking decisions etc......

GRE is the safest option...
GMAT is way too risky and expensive for most...
The GRE way is the better way to get to the US... The US doesnt care much for degrees... You can always change later...

How are the job prospects after completing MS, especially if you dont have any work experience?
