B-schools in Mumbai - 20-09-2005, 11:11 AM

Other than SPJIMR, NMIMS, JBIMS, NITIE, SJMSOM whic are on everyone's list, are there any other B-schools in Mumbai worth applying to?

Also, is there any B-school ranking just for Mumbai B-schools (that includes almost all b-schools of Mumbai) ?

Hey,

Other than the ones u mentioned, depending on ur past profile and academic background, even leingkar would not be a bad bet.....it has a gr8 infrastructure and good industry interface........but avg is around 3.5 lacs only....so depends a lot on ur profile whether u shud go for it or not....

Also, Sydhenam is supposed to be pretty good as well.....If u r hell bent on Mumbai only then this may not b a bad decision....I know many who have left lucrative jobs to attend here.....avg is around 5 (if my sources are to b believed)......is rumoured to b Number 2 under Mumbai Univ........

Other than these, I don't think the other colls in mumbai r tht good.........but again....it depends on ur profile and aspirations which B-School wud suit u best

Hope this helps,

Cheers,
Vishal

Abt JBIMS
Can anyone tell me how the reservation is split between Maharashtra and Non-Maharashtra students. I am a Non-Maharashtra HSC/SSC/Grad. How many seats out of the 120 are open for me.
Also, when are the applications for CET( I am assuming JB admits students from CET) out?? Or are they already out

Interesting Thread !!.. We did some disucssion of this sort last year too .. and the year before that .. so from my insight ... just to bring things into perspective for aspirants..

College Entrance
a. JBIMS - Maharastra CET
b. NITIE CAT
c. SJSOM JMET
d. SPJAIN XAT/CAT ( there has been some major changes.. not clear yet).
e. NMIMS NMAT

So basically, tho we club these college as Mumbai colleges.. they r not really a good segment per say... 5 tests for 5 colleges !!!...

Do be mindful of the above during ur planning process !..

All the best.. and yup. Mumbai ROCKS !!!

PS: LEMME INTRO MYSELF.
Am Amit Shah... better known as agoondoo on PG circuit..
currently Ist yr NITIE after 3.5 yrs of workex. Had 99.34 %..

I offer generic and specific councelling services once a week to all CAT aspriatns on PG.. you can get in touch with me by sending me a message
