well at present I am busy getting rid of ACT,s and the sectional tests provided by IMS . Once I ma hrough with that I will like to go for FLTS of CL adn even solve a few of it's mockcats because speculation and Personal experience tells they are closest thing to CAT.

So If anybody is gonna write ACT this WEek any day for that matter just let us know so that we can come up with result and discuss the tactics used.

I have not joined any institute yet....

I am very late for that, but planning to join CL for the mocks as soon as possible....I have not gone for any coaching.

I was asking about your graduation institute...because I know some RVCE guys from banglore...

How many mocks have been completed in CL?
What was ur score in one that u given yesterday?

my score in yesterdays test was 32...
what is ur educational background... how are u preparing for cat ...
i have taken cl study material that is why i am not goin for coaching classes...

Nice to see the flurry of posts looks like Surat is finally gearing up for the CAT challenge.
welltalking about institutes all are the same one way or the other all containing a plagiarised course rather a dilute solution of the original.

So not much to choose form. But going by my last year expeience invariably the Math of IMS Brm is considered the best (I chose Pt so my Quant cost me the coveted IIMS had 98 Per overall)

And mocks if u want the closest to CAT CL is the best choice.

Iwill be joinign CL soon for the MOCK CAT's.

Ad yah If people here are able to get hold of ACT's by IMS we can discuss our score an idea i had forwarded earlier.

I did my mechanical engg. this year with a aggr. of 75%..( with very bad percentages in the final year)....I am working in surat..

I asked abt ur background bcoz I thought u are from engg.

Regarding the CAT preparation I am the sleeping lagard...I had joined pinnacle last year from PT...thats my preparation till now...:huh:

But yes..I am trying to grab the things fast...started doing quants and DI/LR....I am doing vacabs from the Norman Lewis and logbook tht I prepare to remember words.

Tell me abt ur prep style....any strategies?

QuickSilver has suggested a good idea...we can discuss the scores and strategies to be used in CAT...

I also personally like the BRMs of IMS for quant preparation. The methodology is very logical. They give a person the basic understanding of the matter.

Is there any place in the Surat, where I can get old material of IMS for maths?

Or Is IMS providing material separately for maths?
