Hello ppl,


This is my first post on Pagalguy. This question has probably been asked before, but still here goes..
I'm going to start my CAT prep right now & dreaming of getting into one of the top 3 IIM's...
Given the span of 3 months, what strategy, prep resources(notes), coaching classes would you advise?
I can read pretty fast & have a good vocab, so I don't think the verbal section will be as much of a problem. So, quant is probably going to be my focus .

I'll appreciate it, if you could give me loads of suggestions regarding this esp w.r.t. resources & strategy...

Ya, I knew it was likely that would happen..I guess the pertinent q which I want to ask is " With zero prep till August, whts hould be my strategy for CAT"...Don't suppose that been asked yet

....Let me tell you tha t i have answered this question....My prep started only after IMS's first simCAT last year, which was on the 5th of sept...I got a measly 71 percentile in that so hope you believe that i'm tellin you the truth...

Thanks, Neumann...chked out the posts & pretty useful....gives me a bit of hope...but you haven't really elucidated on a short time strategy...
I started studying today & wrote the CAT Feb 2004 paper...got 41 right in verbal in 45 min...but really lost my way in quant(have forgotten all fundae)...got 6 right in section 2...in section 3 had to leave DI & got 10 more in logical reasoning, right...totally ran out of time

now for the analysis:-)

Hey all..
Me too in the same soup.
I just began my cat prep. Bought last years Career launcher Notes, and have been working on then. My english is pretty alright, and i just have to brush up a little, i got a 93 percentile last year in english with no prep at all. And i have a reading speed of 350 words on an average. But guys my Quant sucks. help me. What am i supposed to do. I hate maths!

got a good percentile compared with my prep.
but verbal sucks !

Quant is the part wher most of the failures occrs !
so i can say tht uf ur pretty well in verbal and
just managed to achieve cut off in quant !
then thats all !
u hv open a door of a premium institute for u !
and for god sake dont day u hate maths!
u gotta like it for atleast till 20th november !

....hard pressed for time right but keep lookinin the other places....Remember reading some short time strats too....
pm me the new group this discussion goes to if this is locked if you have doubts and i'll post my replies there....
