Guys, I started this thread so that we can discuss any doubts regarding filling up of CAT forms. I know that CAT bulltin is exhaustive, but still there may be doubts as to how to fill up certain columns. Post in ur queries here and we'll let our seniour PGs tell us what to do about them.

yes....I have a query.The degree certificate that we have to enclose......can we send a copy of the final year marks card?

no u do not hv to send any document along with the form ....at least i dont remember tht i sent any. it was a simple form last year with name, age,sex,marks n address n sum other small bits of information. anyways, they wud hv given a specimen copy, so u can take its help to fill the form.
fr any further queries, post them on this forum. people wud be more than eager to help u .
well i got to know abt this new funda just yesterday.. a friend of mine called up and said that v have to attach sum proof regarding our graduation status with the application form.. its a new thing which IIM ppl have started this year, coz lot of ppl, who r in thre 2nd year, sit fr CAT n since this is illegal, IIM ppl hv decided to get this application process monitored.. plus, these guys,who gv exam juzz fr the heck of it, affect the performance of other deserving candiddates.. more the candidates, more is the competiton n hence it affects percentiles... so actually this is a very good thing to do..
and as a proof u can attach - ur college leaving or provisional certificate's xerox ( if u hv completed ur grad evn this year, ur collg wud provide it.. its better thn attaching mark-sheet).
- if u hv entered final yr, thn u can attach ur previous year's mark-sheet xerox..
well all this is my perception.. everybody else' view is anyways necessary..

a very basic doubt....i cudnt go to pick up the form myself....so had a frnd buy it for me..now the bulletin says u need to enclose the 3rd copy of the pay in slip along with the form n send it ....but now the problem being...my pay in slip has got my frnds signature for the depositors signature..... my question is ...if that is actually a problem...as in is it necessary for u to have ur signature only on the pay in slip .... will my form get rejected ??....is it okay to have sumone else buy ur form for u ...or otherwise ....

ya dude.. its perfectally fine.. te slip shud have your name, the depositor could b anyone... its pretty normal... do u really think tat everybody goes on thre own to get thre forms?? naah.. so, dont worry..
I've got a silly query that seems to be a puzzle to me. well, my full name is "S.Srikrishnan ", atleast thats the way i usually write it and thats the way my name is on my tenth and twelth grade sheets. but do i need to expand my initial(father's name) into my surname when i fill my cat form or must i fill it as SRIKRISHNAN<SPACE>S
PS: my passport has my initial(father's name) expanded as my surname.
hey dude let me assure u ur form ll not be rejected coz i myself did the same thin last yr.....all dat they want is the pay in slip of the bank......
