oops..looks like have erred here..have put in the sign on the declaration in pencil presuming that OMR can read only HB markings. Have already dispatched the form and other docs by speed post. Hurry coz have to leave for onsite in a week's time!!(wat an excuse How much will this weigh?? Does the CAF stand to be rejected due to this silly issue. Please help.
Here are some things that u can thnk of doing:

1. Call the IIM authorities and let them guide u as to what u should be doing.

2. Since u have a week time, trace the Speed Post ( u can do that with the post no.) . Usually speed posts are not that fast...trace it and bring it back.

3. Check out if submitting another form is possible and allowed.

4. Pray that u signed on the form hard enough that it makes print as a black pen.

Ur form wont b checked manually. A machine does scans ur sig and if it passes then it'll be accepted.

I dont think its a silly issue...U need to be double checking every thing. What have they provided the check-list for???

Finally, Enjoy ur Onsite work.

thx buddy...as if the tensions at the work place werent enuff!!!the speed post has been
delivered ..have sent a mail to them..spoke to the TIME n IMS ppl here...they too believe it shouldnt be much of an issue as the OMR will eventually get scanned..only the text will be lighter in shade...btw is it alrite if i send another form with a change of test centre perhaps!!

just reading about the req. for attaching a proof docu regd. last year of grad.

i'm doing my studies thru correspondence, IGNOU.

IGNOU has a credit-system where upon accumulating 96 credits you get your degree. basically there's no symester system or second year mark-sheet etc. (just a sheet with courses completed shown on it)

i will be finishing off all the 96 credits next june. (i.e. giving exams for the remainder courses next june)

does this essentially mean i can't sit for CAT this year?

thanks.

well i hv not got much idea about it, but here r sum suggestions..:

- u can ask ur seniors or professors at university.
or
- if u hv joined sum coaching, say TIME,CL,IMS.. ask them..
or
- best option.. call up your nearest iim.. i.e.the iim whre u hv to submit ur from.. can evn email them... i think tat is the best option...

Mr. Zephyr.... - 27-07-2005, 12:20 AM

MR. KNOW-IT-ALL says.....

Was down with malaria, so retaliating so late....

Thanx Urmad, that's exactly what i'd meant.

Zephyr, do learn to give ppl the benefit of the doubt...The issue here is not where i'm studying....I didn't realise that it cud also mean what u interpreted it as...If u go bak and read it, you can see that i meant, "...if any of them has already been answered, feel free to ignore them" (as in, the answers given in my post)... How can i just ask others answers to be ignored???

Also, grand old man of PG, hope you know where to look, for the joining dates of members. Maybe the fledgling members can help you out with the 'new technology' otherwise.Plz think twice before losing your temper and trying to correct someone else.

Think making this a thread for all form-filling enquiries is a good idea though....

Cheers,
Bhonpu (previously Shiv)
