its just that iam in bangalore and my place is in tamilnadu and i dont know the exact precentage of my degree course. ok to tell u the truth i never knew it . so i ahve to go to my pace and then fill the column.

i hav already sent my form and now i suddenly realised that i was supposed to fill the boxes also in HB pencil but i hav only made those circles wth HB pencil...
the boxes r filled wth a black ball pen
however, there r no blots or smudges anywhere and the form is really very neat..
wil it b accepted????
pls reply what can i do?

i think there shud b no problem but stil i m not sure...

Whew...
Yup the filling up of the form has to be the first hurdle. We have an entire thread dedicated to it. I finally managed to complete the filling up of the "CAF". Took a patient 45 minutes to do it. Broke my back while meticulously darkening each and every circle. I musn't have put so much effort even in my school art exams! That's probably why I flunked them most of the time. But didn't want to mess up anything about this form. I practised it out first on a photocopy first! It may seem overkill to some but better safe than sorry. To all the people who're worried about mistakes in filling up there form, keep your fingers crossed. The mai-baap at IIM will probably look over the mistakes. Now will be making a trip next week to A'bad to deliver the form.

Don't start a debate on this, but after alternating between the HB pencil and the black pen, I'm wondering, with which did I write the app. no. on the back of the documents which were to be enclosed? Ok, I'm getting paranoid now!

me also think same way...the only important thing to keep in mind is that u have to darken the bubbles rightly....as its being processed by an OMR machine, boxes have nothing to do with it. its for our convvinience that we can darken bubbles easily by seeing the particular entry over bubble..

well i wanted to know if there is any list for the universities for code 1 in this box. As in code 1 implies "Universities incorporated by Central or State Legislature or Deemed Universities, as defined in the eligibility criteria for Post - Graduate Programmes of IIMs"
My univ was incorporated by Delhi Govt, so will my code be 1 or will it fall under Code 6 i.e "Any other"

The ' Name ' Box in the CAT application form contains only 22 cells.
While my last name contains 13 letters+1 space+first name contains 11 letters .
should i abbreviate my fistname upto 8 letters or should i write only the first letter .
My name is S.Thulasimani ,father name is Sathiamoorthy

u'll have to fill it as Sathiamoorthy Thulasimani where Thulasimani is ur first name and Sathiamoorthy is ur Last name.
