Doubt regarding percentage - 08-08-2005, 10:23 AM

The form says we should take into account all the subjects for calculating the percentages for SSC & HSC.Now i have done my SSC & HSC from CBSE and apart from the regular subjects there are some other meaningless subjects mentioned in marksheets like Physical education etc stuff. No marks are give for them but grade is provided.Should I convert them to marks and then calculate the percentages?

If no marks are given, how will you calculate the percentage? A grade can be a fixed or dynamic range of marks; but it is always a range. As a fellow CBSE student in a similar predicament , the only way out is to ignore those subjects. I've done the same thing.

Address Mismatch - 08-08-2005, 02:05 PM

I am also having the same doubt. Earlier (when buying the CAT form) I entered my office address in the bank pay-in-slip, but now I want to change my address (to my residence) in the CAF. Can I simple change the address in the CAF or do I need to write to the respective IIM intimating them about the change in address?

A reply has already been posted earlier to this query, but sorry, I could not make much sense out of it.

Can anybody clarify this doubt please? Thanks.

Not quite sure what you mean. Let's take an example: 5 subjects in a semester, 100 marks each. My scores - 60,60,60,60,10. I write the subject again, and score 60 now in the re-exam.

Original %age = 250/5 = 50%
%age with re-exam marks = 300/5 = 60%

which one goes into the form ?

arre yaar.. u must hv got ur new marksheet aftr u got 60 marks instead of 10.. so u hv to wirte 60% only n attach ur cerificate showing tat u hv scored 60%.. since u hv a proof tat of ur score in re-exam, so write 60% only..!!!
