hi, i feel it became very imp to share my lst yr exp with cat form. i also had someone else sign and name n address on the
pay -slip. i went to submit the form at iim lko myselfbut only on the last day. it came as a huge shock for me coz they rejected my form...and mind it
these iim ppl are very strict. my friend's uncle who was the incharge of CAT registration there could do nuthin to help me . but by gods
grace i still had couple of hours left in my hands. so had to rush to SBI head office and got a bank draft of 1200 :huh: made coz the sale of form at SBI branches had ended. then went back to IIM L and bought the form ..filled it on the spot and submitted. i will never forget that day

so all those who made the same mistake write to the iim authorities and ask them what to do now. i would suggest that u write the same address as on the pay slip ie of ur friends address...No idea abt whether the name should be of applicant.
my best wishes ...but take my advice and plz do sthng b4 its too late.

I V Given My 6th Sem Exams & The Expected Date For Announcement Of Result Z At Least After First Week Of Sept. So My College Asks Me 3 Simple Questions:
1) Your Results Are Not Out. Right? (yes Sir)
2) You Have Not Taken Admission To 7th Sem. Right?(yes Sir)
3)how Could We Give The Cirtificate? (right Sir.. I .. Mean .. Now I M Neither In 6th Sem Nor In 7th Sem, Then Which Sem Am I In??? )

Can YOU Help Me Out????!!!!

Well Alok,
You could ask them to give you a certificate saying that you've appeared for the 6th sem exams for which results will be out only in_____ time.Alternately,try to get a bonafide certificate that sez u r a student of xxx college for the year 2005-06.AND send in your 5th sem memo as well,just attach a note explaining your position.

And why on earth is ANGEL scarin me?I've had my friend pick up the CAT Form for me(I,on the other hand,havent picked it up from her).I THINK she's put her address on the slip though for sure she's put my name.And its her signature on the slip.

I dont think the address should matter much right? I remember a long time back somebody tellin me that the whole point of the name and address on the slip was to prevent the forms bein re-sold 'black mein" !!!

take due care in filling up of ur forms gus. i dont think u wud like to waste ur Rs 1200 along with a year or more of hard work in some cases, over small mistakes in form. darken circles properly and more important, keep a xeroed copy of form after u submit it

well neo ...i told u my experience ...i spent quite a lot time that day in searching for an alternative for not having to buy a new form but those IIM are really really strict abt rules....so dont take a chance and mail them or call them abt it. and do it asap.

and if they allow u...then tell me coz i would like to shoot those ppl at IIM... :grab:

hey in anycase u r into 7th sem. even if u fail in any sub then also u'll attend class for 7th sem and appear for 6th compartment as an ex candidate...but college authority have to be a bit considerate
