coming to your ques :- there will be lots of opening in the near future ,as i have already told you ...... then after probation i am not very sure but he needs to clear some exam and then he is an asst. manager in a branch not necessarily a metro (if anyone of the puys has more info on this plzz write in) ..... and after probation the salary is good its round about 20-25 in hand plus a lot of perks like HRA, petrol, DA n lots of them ..... i hope i am able to answer ur query

there's nothing like astt. manager in psu banks ... after 2yrs of probation period, candidate will be confirmed and placed in the Officer JMG-I (Junior Management Grade) and the salary structure will remain same plus other benefits like LTA (Leave Travel Allowance) and other perks will be added.

computer knowledge (ms office, etc) is must for bank po exams regardless of whether bank ask for computer certificate or not in the verification process ... bank assumes that either u shud have knowledge of computers or have acquired it within 2-3 months of joining the bank.

Can anyone suggest that whether MCA r elligible for State Bank Management executive as it is a PG degree equiavalent to MBA(Systems)???

In state bank advt elligibility given as
Eligibility Criteria : as on 01.08.2009
(A)Qualifications:
i) Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Operations Management, Systems, HR
or
ii) M.Com. or
iii) M.A. / M.Sc. in Economics or M.A. / M.Sc. in Statistics or
iv) C.A. / CWA / CFA / CS (Company Secretary)

I think u are eligible ... u should give it a shot and apply without any doubts ... this kind of opportunity from India's Largest Bank do not come very often, so try & make the best use of it instead of doubting over ur eligibility. As far as sbi advt. is concerned they have asked for Post Graduates candidates, so what u are, so u should apply & let them decide (I don't think Rs.250 will much bother in case they reject) ... best of luck ...

Actually, there is a designation as Asstt. Manager. Infact, I have a friend whose mother is working in syndicate bank at the very same position.....However, it might be referred to with some other name in other banks. Although the work remains the same, but the name may vary from bank to bank.
