had a satisfying gd/pi experience... gd topic was: all public sector units should be privatized, govt should not dabble in business. interview consisted of a few questions from academics, the rest were all general questions and were quite answerable.

Anyone cleared OBC exam?

In Syndicate Bank, they have asked for a post graduate certificate/provisional certificate. I have none of them. What I have is only the mark sheets. Can I enclose the same and would that satisfy the requirement?

Also, they have asked for aggregate marks, does it mean aggregate of all the semesters? More so because they have also asked us to enclose the mark sheets for all the semesters. What if there is confusion and candidates interprete it in different ways?

I have scored 67 and 64 percentages through Grad. and PG resp (final year score). What are my chances? How are they going to evaluate is a big question (depending upon university, PG done thr' correspondence etc.)

@prats87
the eligibility criteria is mentioned in the concerned banks' notification. for example in the syndicate bank notification it was clearly mentioned that final year students are NOT allowed. in other banks' notification the eligibility criteria is stated as
"graduate in any stream as on 01.01.09"
or some such.
this would also mean that final year students are not allowed.i myself am a final year student and am keeping on eye on the bank p.o exams. so far none of the exams this year have been for final year students.

You can refer to Banking Services Chronicle magazine, and Pratiyogita Darpan for current affairs. For GK you can read the commonly available yearbooks. Besides that marketing aptitude questions are asked in some exams such as BoB so some basic book on marketing by any author will do, anyway they involve more of common sense. The number of questions varies from bank to bank but generally it is between 200-300 and the time is between 2-3hrs. For BoB it was 3 but for SBI it was 2 (prelims). It also depends upon the number of tiers in the examination. So far in my knowledge only SBI and PNB take a mains exam and then a GD/PI, most of the banks only take a written test and then directly shortlist the candidates for the interview. The exams are more or less similar in nature and by practice you can easily crack anyone of them.
Here is the link for the sample paper for the IT exam
