should i start my job search desperately? I have registered myself on various job portals but i am not being able to find good jobs in this period of recession. I mean the profiles most of them are offering are not very satisfactory + very low salaries.

At present i am preparing for cat and i really want to crack it this time. Though i am preparing well for it and i know i can make it But I am not being able to focus completely on it. At the back of my mind, I always have this thought that even if i crack cat, the gap might just hinder my final selection in good colleges.

I have decent acads- 10th : 91% 12th: 91% B. Tech:81%

will it be ok if i just prepare for cat at home with full concentration or is it a matter of concern if one doesn't have a job??

What should i do?? If i dont get a job, what other options do i have which could help me with my mba interviews because everyone tells me that having a gap is taken very negatively by the panel.
Well, if you can convince the Interviewers, or can justify your staying at home, then it wont be much of a problem. But just sitting at home, doing nothing, wont reflect a good personality. You need to do something, perhaps join an NGO, or any other Social Organization, club, etc, whatever, and utilize your time efficiently IN CASE you are unable to join any job. I would personally suggest you take any job you get (even if it pays less), which will give you experience neverthless. Then perform well in CAT and join a good B-School.

All the best.

Hello Everyone,
Just needed a bit of advice from you guys.
I've cleared my 12 with 85% marks in best of 4 from CBSE board.
Other than that I sat for various entrance test for BBA in which I got through Symbiosis. I've already taken an admission in Symbiosis but am confused that whether I should do BCom. from DU from a okeyish college in South Campus or I should go for Symbiosis.
My ultimate aim is to do MBA in International Marketing.
Will I incur any drawback if I do Bcom instead of BBA. In any case I do not wish to work after graduation.

Hope to have a few good suggestions !

Thanks !

Hello folks,

Can someone tell me pros and cons of an Executive MBA from say top 20 univs in USA. How would it bode when compared with normal MBA from the same university.

Comparisons w.r.t
1. Total costs ( incl fees and others)
2. Programme quality
3. Job profiles post the MBA
4. any other

Also, would it be prefrable for a person with appx 5yr of exp to do an MBA or an Executive MBA.

Could the experts enlighten me .. with reasons..

Regards

Hi all,

I need some suggestions on following-

I am doing my undergrads in IT and currently in 4th yr.
My future plan is to do MBA.

My CGPI is quite good above 9 and got in 10th - 91% , 12th - 92% resp.

I got placed in a consultancy firm as Business Associate which i didn't expect. I haven't join it yet.

Now i got confuse as after doing my study in a technical field .. i got a job which less technical ...so i m kind of unsatisfied but at the same time the job is helpful from the point of doing MBA later.

I don't know whether which job exp is more beneficial for MBA , a job from any leading IT firm like adobe etc or a consultancy firm like accenture, zs associates etc ???

Can you suggest something? I don't know exactly what to do.

Thnx !

Hello All,

Please suggest me the books for QA, VA and DI.

I do have preparation material of CL, as I had prepared it in 2006.

Should I join some coaching class too? I don't get much time due to hectic work schedule.

I feel that I complete the material I have, and in addition to it, for brushing up various topics, I do them from Books, so please suggest books for QA, VA and DI. Because just starting mockups at some coaching center will also not help without decent basics

Thanks for Some other suggestions too in this regard.

Hi all.I finished my B.Tech in the summer of 2008 from NIT,Warangal. Currently working with Crompton Greaves at Vadodara. Its been and year and I've been appraised and hold a highly important portfolio in the company.

But its been tough off late handling classes and work.I have made up my mind to quit next week and focus on cat prep for the next 4 months. Will this affect my CV in future?Just a bit apprehensive.A number of my colleagues have advised me against it and an equal number support it.

I am no VA pundit but they say there is no substitute to good reading. The IMS material is good to hone your skills on RC and PJs.Arun sharma is good for QA,though the book doesnt have solutions to all problems. However there is an exclusive thread devoted to the book on PG.

Goto [url=http://www.totalgadha.com] and try solving the DI sets.I hope all of this helped.
