Can age and experience become a deciding factor 4 B School ? - 20-06-2005, 09:57 PM

Hi,

I have a typical question.

I am a software engineer (B.E. in Comp Science ) I completed my graduation in 2003. I was selected from Campus into Asia's largest IT Company. I am currently working in the same company. My experience has been in ERP Consulting. I got a good exposure to the functional and business processes of the world's largest company in Europe which I believe has definitely changed many of my ways of looking at things.

Now my delimma is :

(1) Right now I am 23 years old and in December would be 24, Can this age be a factor in getting admission into a B School ?

(2) I have 2 years of experience ? Can this be a hinderance ?

Do I really need more experience, the reason I want to do MBA is because I believe that at 25 I would be in a comfortable position to learn the intricacies which are involved in understanding business processes and an MBA would definitely add a tremendous value addition to help grow in my carrer.

Please advice on this. I am a bit

Thanks & Regards
Dhiraj
