Boss I can assure you that any top company wont stop from joining an IIM even if you are under a bond. Most of them waive the bond in such cases.

As per my previous edited post avoid signing one, even if it mean waiting for some more time for the right offer.

As for your query, I know a guy who was working with a software firm had around 8 months of work-ex, gave CET joined JBIMS. Got a gr8 placement from a top company. Cannot disclose the identity without his permission.

And he's on PG.

*if* you are joining FMS for sure then there is only one obvious cours eof action...mail the HR of the company (or whoever is your point of contact ) and inform them of the non availability of your candidature as soon as possible. That would be the civil thing to do a sboth of you can get along with your lives

The gist of it is that some ppl from the June 2004 trainee batch at a top Indian IT company received legal notices in Jan 2006 claiming Rs 1 lakh+ for leaving the company before completing 1 yr i.e the bond period.

For courtesy sake you should inform them. Its better to keep relations as cordial as possible in the industry. You never know which way things are headed in the future.

Congrats for FMS.
