hi.. i am in 3rd year BCOM...even i want to give CFA level1 in June 09... wat exactly should i do?
can any1 tell me what procedures do i need to follow? wats the eligibility? is there any work experience that is required?

I am joining Indira Institute of management in Pune..I also Plan to give cfa L1 this june 09 .. I m not sure if i can do both the studies simultaneously... I am an engg so i will need more time to grasp the concepts..

What do u think i shld do? shall i start reading from the ebooks link given few posts back... and see how i study and if i can then mayb i will register.:idea:

You may want to visit CFA Institute Home for details about the exam and registration process. The registration for the June 2009 CFA Level1 exam is now open. No work experience is required.

definitely u should go through the e books once...
but i think it would not be much diffcult and will typically require around 300 hrs for preparations...

Hey.. I am a final yr engg student... Not at all familiar with finance... planning to appear for CFA level 1... What do you guys think, should i go in for June 09 or december 09?

also how much time would one take to prepare for CFA...

as u r frm the engg bckgroung i wd suggest u to register for the june-09 exams..it requires 300 hrs of study for the preparation of level 1 ..but it also depends on ur grasping power n hrdwok

The last date for CFA June 09 exam is on 16 Mar 2009. But by the time fees would be very high $1395. But if u register b4 24 Sep 2008 thn fees wld b lowest $990. So jus be on time to register first so tht u cld seriously prepare n gv d exam.
