Buddy ...it depends on the city u r based at , but generally it takes around 2 weeks once u r done with the registration ...

well i cant exactly call it a plan...but i hav managed to get hold of some of the official course ware ( ebooks).. and started with fixed income book..

i managed to read the 1st chapter while traveling in train... will register soon in another week may b ..cos then i can get hold of the official courseware..and dont have to waste paper on printing :smile:.

m planning to set aside 2 hours every day for CFA..dat is if i return home form work and dont dose off ..

I got mine in less than a week's time. There should be 6 volumes in the packet.

My preparations begin today. I am starting off with the official material provided by the CFA institute.

The idea is to dedicate a time slot of 2 hours in the day for weekdays and as many as 4-5 hours on weekends.

Since there is ample time for the exam, I will first finish off the official CFA material and then hop onto Schweser prep material to fine tune the study.

Will post a more detailed study plan soon.

Well,my intentions are similar to yours..m goin thru the online material just to judge how much effort will be required out of me..I am a working guy,preparing hard for my CAT n other management exams..so at max 1-2 hrs a day..I hope if I cn do it regularly,I can get hold of the material..Wt do u say man,m I rite or m I a bit complacent?

I m also planning 2 rite CFA level-1 in June 2009..lot will dpend upon the centre though...last yr my frend got the chance to rite it in Mumbai itself...but rite now i cant see India s one of the test centre...if any one has more info on this please update me...
