Joining the bandwagon soon!...Waiting hopelessly for the $ to depreciate (even a rupee drop will save me 1080 bucks!!...perchance m asking too much)
As of now, no "study plans"...jus casual reading...getting a hang of the material and getting acquainted with Schweser's style. Picked up eco for the start...
The subjects are completely new for me...but the engineering curriculum has taught me to deal with it!!

Am not sure abt going for CFA in June, so have got the Schweser notes ( ebooks) to see whether I can get the hang of it......
I am going for Book 5 : Fixed Income, Derivative and Alternative Investments.
Have done the first 2 chapters of the Study Session 15 ( Features of Debt Securities and Risks involved with investing in Bonds).
P.S. Am a bit confused ab this. Zero Coupon bonds have higher Interest rate risk than normal fixed income bonds. (They fluctuate more comparitively with rise/fall of interest rates)...WHY?

Zero coupon bonds pay the complete amount at a fixed rate of interest, at the maturity without any periodic payments unlike other bonds.
Ex: Treasury bills.
- If the interest rates increase, people will be more drawn towards regular bonds OR if the interest rates decrease, ppl will flock for zero coupon bonds to get atleast some fixed returns. This can cause a mammoth change in the price of zero coupon bond. This is the risk associated with 0 coupon bond with fluctuation of interest rates.
- For long term zero coupon bonds having maturity of 90-100yrs..etc. consider a case where the issuer becomes a defaulter!! You get a big "zero"
unlike regular bonds where u atleast get some returns in the form of periodic interest payments.
A good read on bond markets:

@Those who have received the material..
by when should I expect the material to arrive in normal course? Hope that it doesn't actually take 3 weeks, which they promise on the site..
