Also I do not have much exposure into finance as I am into software field. Will the syllabus covers fundamentals of the finance and understandable for the persons from non finance background?

Hi Kishore. Ill be frank with you. CFA is a very tough exam nad only for those who are serious about an career in finances or business management in general. I am also from an tech background and i presently work in a software firm. I decided to take up CFA b'coz i was absolutely prepared for a career in management from the very beginning.
About the course. I have just started with the materials. Some of the parts, even certain simple concepts, are very difficult to comprehend because we as technocrats are unfamiliar with such knowledge...but it is not that impossible. Some of the syllabus have already been covered by us previously during our engg career.
1. Talk to your friends about it.
2. Eveluate the amount of time you can dedicate to the CFA preparation after your daily work schedule.
3. Ask yourself is it worth the effort and does it comply with your career aspirations.
If all the answers are +ve...Hey baby no more wating get ur self registered and join the roller coaster ridffe to CFA hell.
