finished with corp finance SS11 & fsa in a week from schewser. i am fine with all other things but ethics is hard for me. how to go for it. does anyone in delhi wants to join for study.

many engineers do mba(finance) and enter the finance industry. i found this course deep in investments. there was a stalla seminar in delhi(yusuf sarai) where they told that L1 gets placement.

I'll be appearing for the CFA June 2009, Level - 1 exam.
I havent registered yet...need some info.

1 . After the payment, how will i recive the documents.
2 . Does CFA Institute provide any material.
3 . What books should I buy for the preparation of the same.

There are some great material on: 4shared.com - > Please type " CFA " as the search item.
:boat: I don't know of any CFA Certified professional, so you guys are my primary source of information.

hi regarding ur query:
1) after the payment is confirmed the institute ships u the official curriculum thorugh UPS. it ll b delivered to ur doorstep in say 5 days ( i got mine delivered yesterday).
2) Yes CFA does provide its candidates with its official curriculum, 6 books for L1 which will be delivered as i hav mentioned above.
3) as far as external books are concerned.. i dunno much, i hav heard dat the official curriculum is itself vast and comphrensive. but yes u can go thru Schweser notes or Stalla and try to get hold of last 2-3 years question papers for practice.

i hav Schweser notes for 2008..if ther r not major changes..i can save a bit...

hey anirudh/rajaram84,
can you elaborate on the kind of placements, if any, mentioned by them if we clear L1.

Also, I would like to know how many hours of preparation on an average is required for cracking L1. I hardly have any knowledge of finance concepts. I am currently working as a software engineer(1.5 yrs exp) planning to register for Jun '09 CFA L1.
