prepared for 3yrs for IAS and now trying for a foreign mba.plz.help me - 24-05-2008, 02:14 AM

Hi friends,
I completed my btech in CS in 2005 and after that i went for preparing for civils or ias even though i had a option for a job as its my childhood dream. I tried my level best in my attempts but it needs some luck to get on top in the competition and i m failed. But i m happy that i gained lot of knowledge in different fields and now i dont want to stop here and i wanna pursue a mba. I reserved my date for gmat test on 28thjuly 2008 and preparing for it. But i am confused what i need to tell the universities i will apply about my past 3 yrs experience..i think they dont get convinced if i tell them abt my ias preparation. we have a family business and i m involved in it from my childhood partially. So plz help me with ur suggestion whether its better to tell them about my preparation or do i need to claim that i worked for my fathers business..i m very much confused..plz give me ur suggestions..thanks a lot..
