which is the best institution to do MBA with distance learning?

Hi all,
Please suggest which is the best institute to do an MBA with distance learning in India.
How beneficial it would be for a person working as a lecturer in a Engineering College?
Does market accept this mode of education and giving the applicant an good opportunity to work with? I mean does doing MBA with DISTANCE LEARNING has any value in Market?

I am also concern about distance learning MBA, acceptance in the market.

As far as Market is concerned, u can't expect a profile comparable to those who go for regular course. U might get only SOME advantage in ur current firm and might help u negotiate pkg n profile in next job but nothing more than that.

Instead, go for a part-time course if possible or executive MBA. Atleast they hv more value as u actually interact with faculty n students, although not much, but definitely much better than pure distance learning.

DL course just adds a degree in ur Cv. in final call/interview u'll be totally grilled if u haven't specified it clearly as DL only n not a regular course.

I don't want to discourage anyone. But this is what i learnt prom my peers n colleagues when earlier i had also thought about taking it.

I totally agree with loveekansal....DL dont give u much exposure...only helps u in ur current job..bahar jao to kuch jyada help nai hai...just a degree in ur CV with not much value...waise still if u want to go for DL i wud suggest u to only go for IGNOU...its the best DL college in the country...n wat i have heard is that its not that easy compared to other DL courses...

i think distance learning has got value in market as industry values a person and his experience not just degrees.degree are for value addition to persons personality by d medium of books.
books can nvr give u real exposure which u can gain from practical exposure.

and before joining mba distance contact me as me too doin mba distance and was in dillema same as urs but den i had a tok with a counseller who is really helpful and now m vry happy and doin my mba with satisfaction as i knw all pros and cons of everything

Hi,
I have heard about part time executive MBA from IIM Calcutta and Kozikode. These will have 5 day coaching class at respective IIMs and the rest will be by distance education. Is anybody aware of this? What value does it have? I have a 5 yr exp in an MNC and want to know more about this.

distance learning is a good option only if you cannot join a full time course because of time constraints......

i dont think it would help a teacher in any ways....

i would suggest it to someone who is already in a managerial field of work...
its not a good option to use if you want to change your job.....

in any ways if you want to do distance learning

i want to do mba and i dont want to drop my job and go for a full time mba course.

in ur case u have 2 options:
1>part time mba
2.distance learning mba

my opinino is dun go by part time mba as it is vry hectic to cpe up wid things along wid job,also duration is more and market value is equivalent to distance learning.but dear make ur own decision as u have to do it this was juss ma opinino.

me doin mba distance frm icfai and now in grp b its a gud course wid many facilities and value additions

if u want information on it or ne oder b-school den i will provide u as i have made a lot f survey before joinin it so have idea abt all options

but do we get a chance to interact with faculty members in distance learning programs, other thing is without any classes wont it be difficult to understand the course contents.

r u sure that distance learning programs and part time courses have same market value?
have u done any reserch for part time courses, please give details.
