Fms V/s Nmims V/s Mdi V/s Iift

i want to pursue a career in finance. am frm eco hons background. hav got calls frm iift, nmims, fms. result of mdi is awaited. what should be the preference order. amany say that nm scores bcoz its in mumbai. how much does the location count? plz help...

Hi loveekansal,
i accept your viewpoint, but every person has this query. Even pagal guy b-school rankings is just another answer to this question. I feel this should be allowed. Its ok for everybody to feel about their colleges, and i believe its ok to defend the reputation of theirs. And anyways the final decision rests upon the person joining. Hope you dont feel bad about my opinion.

dude acc to me there is a doubt between iift & mdi. fms is a good insti with a very good alumni network and less fees. so it goes right on top. its curriculum i have heard however is not that rigorous (this might be wrong.) But still--no1 wil be fms acc to me. then iift or mdi. and last would nmims. this would be my viewpoint.

absolutely i completely agree to the above....see FMS,MDI,IIFT all are gr8 offering the same placements n profiles...wat sets FMS a cut above the rest is the lost cost meaning a great ROI. NMIMS i dont think belongs to this class...u just simply hv to look at the quality of their entrance paper n the gross irregularities in their admission process. moreover i am not sure whether u get I-Banking profiles in NM as u get in IIFT/MDI...

As already stated above : Comparisons between B school is against the rules of the forum. Instead, PM seniors of respective b-schools and find out the info u need to and then make up your mind.
