hi bblorekar,

Read this - will be interesting for you Tata Group | TCS | Media reports | Brilliance, by any degree….

As a fresher dont bother about money.... look at the opportunity.... I am a BSc too started my career with 6k a month 5 yrs back...... now I can assure you its a lot better.... better than what most of my friends (who joined NIT/REC after 12 th)get in the big companies....

So go ahead, raise your chin and battle your path towards success...forget this B.Sc/B.E thing in the long run its experience that matters.

TCS/Infy and Wipro all are hiring fresher B.Sc. dont look at salary apply for all three take the first that makes the offer.

Cheers,
ID

TCS has Designations in this manner:
Assistant Systems Analyst (ASA) -> Systems Analyst (SA) -> Assistant Consultant (AST) -> Associate Consultant (ASC) -> Consultant -> Senior Consultant -> Principal Consultant

It takes 3 years to jump from one level to next one considering a standard rating of 3+.

Your list is missing IT analyst - is it the same as System Analyst. Is my understanding correct that as ASA you need 4 yrs and thereafter all grades it takes 3?

ASA is same as ASE and SA is same as ITA.. just that former ones are the desgnations for MBAs and latter ones are for BEs..from AST onwards, the chain is common. Ans yes, it takes 4 yrs to become ITA/SA and 3 yrs further.
