How Does It Experience In A Not It Company Counts For An Mba In India - 19-12-2007, 12:13 AM

Can someone pls shed some light on this?
How does working in the IT department of a process industry or Technology group of an IB counts when it comes to an MBA in India.........The IT profile in such cases generally involve maintenance work but wat one gets is the domain specific business knowledge..........How can this x-perience count ?

Any experience counts for MBA irrespective of nature of work. More so if you have managed a team of few ppl reporting to you. B-schools look for a overall perspective of ppl, process mgmt expertise and leadership traits. Work specific does not matters much.

Be sure and confident abt your domain and tech skills while in interview. You may get targeted questions on same.
