Wouldnt it be better to ask this question to people in UR company? or the HR of ur company?

There will be different things going on in different companies... there is no general thing which they follow.... Also some comapniew do not have anything called training period... they have on-the-job-training

guess a thread was not required for this...
the people in ur company/team may be in a postion to give you a better view of things which are gonnu happen...

Generally, these days comapnies put you thru 2 types of trn session(in s/w field).....One is behavioral trng in which the emphasis on the team work and how to behave as a corporate....

Second one is the technical one......it may be based on the requirments of your company!!!
