What kind of jobs are suited for a career in financial planning? - 01-04-2007, 08:53 PM

Hello puys

I am about to complete my BBA this year and wanted to make a career in financial planning. What kind of jobs and other courses should i look out for in order to have a head start? I want to know the specific job designations/titles i should consider along with the companies offering such kinds of jobs.

i am about to join ncfm as soon as my exams get over, also i'll be doing my mba after gaining certain amount of work experience as i failed miserably this year.

Please help me out.

Thanks
Manish Gidwani

You can choose the job of a Financial Planning Advisor in Insurance companies or Mutual Fund companies. Depending on the company, your pay may vary. But with experience it goes up and has much scope for growth.

Some typical companies in India in which you can apply are Aviva, Bajaj-Allianz, Reliance Money, ICICI Pru, Metlife etc.

Besides, while on the job you can pursue CFP (Certified Financial Planner). It can help you in getting promotions or lucrative offers.

Hard Work is not known to have killed anybody, but Why take a chance?
