Onsite Salaries - Discussions and Opinions -
30-03-2007, 12:16 AM
Im sick and tired of googling 'infosys onsite salary' but never came across a link where someone working for these companies was man enough to say -" boss this is my experience in years and this is my salary per annum".
Whats the deal with u Infy/tcs guys??
Are your balls so small that you cant even declare that how much you earn when you are working onsite in USA
I challenge the Infoscions, TCSians and what have you to declare their onsite salaries...
As Russel Peter says...." Be a man!"

Ok i guess its time to let the secret out...
A resounding yes... to the fact that the kind of money u can make in IT is as big if not bigger then ur MBA money...
Im workin in Ireland ( a very small IT market vis-a-vis UK/USA) and I see people making 750 GBPs a day(tha they have 10 years experiece is another thing) but the fact is there is shit loads of money to be made...these are contractors im talkin about here
the question still remains... about how much balls these infoscions have
tell me how much u guys in USA through these indian IT companies make in a year...
i gave u the real deal assbags... be fair and tell me how well are u doing???

Dude , I am also working in Ireland ,
I worked in US too while working with Wipr, The salery differs with experience ,
MY gross was 60k /annum .
The saleries in US is mostly decided by the VIsa( h1) . To get an H1 its mandatory to have 60k /anuum , so these companies have to give 60k atleast which is more or less the average salery onsite.
In which part of ireland you work , m in Galway,

Someone please change the horrendous name of this title !!
Also, this discussion is interesting but the way it has been put out is not. Please be more civil when asking for responses.
My take:
Most desi junta get between 55K to upto 75K (for project managers). There are a few companies which pay in the vicinity of 90K but thats few and far in between.
The above is a fact. The worst of the lot.
Slightly better is when you work on contract (no career progression, low motivation). If you work on contract you can hope to get about $65/hour which is good but poor when you are in places such as NYC/Bay Area.
If you really want to make money - you need to get off H1B and get a GC or citizenship. Till then you will get below-par.

my friends are doing MS in US and what i heard from them is
they will be getting software jobs with an initial pay of 60K $
the way they put is
" they will be approaching a consultant soon after completion of their MS and the consultant will search jobs for them and show the two years as workex from some company and the initial pay can be expected to be around 60K USD
to what extent is that true please enlighten
