Yes some companies do pay a good deal on H1B *if you are directly recruited by them*. But for that you need them to sponsor your H1B which is why I left out that option completely among the 3 I mentioned

dunno if this is the right thread for costs but can some one guide me to how much it costs to live in london.. what i'm looking at is

studio accomodation for single person without sharing (in central district) + food + transportation + utilities + groceries + miscellaneous..

would be glad if someone who has lived or is living in london or knows bout it could reply..

what iv heard is accomodation = 600-800 GBP others 600-800 GBP per month.. total expenses per month 1200-1600 GBP.. it this reasonable.. coz someone also told me that it mite be as high as 2500GBP/month

for mathematicians : 2+2=5 for large values of 2

The question still stands.
What are these Infoscions/TCSians/Wipro(ians?) getting in US.
I heard even a programmer analyst with 5 yrs exp with infosys makes just borderline 60 K USD?

can someone from these companies come out of the closet and declare the facts?

No body is answering My question :(
"my friends are doing MS in US and what i heard from them is
they will be getting software jobs with an initial pay of 60K $

the way they put is

they will be approaching a consultant soon after completion of their MS and the consultant will search jobs for them and show the two years as workex from some company and the initial pay can be expected to be around 60K USD

to what extent is that true please enlighten "

Infy pay package onsite for Programmar Analyst (a person with B Tech from Premier coll + 3 years work-ex) used to be $65 K some 3 years back (Source - My cousin) And this is for cheaper areas like Phoenix and Texas.

Adjusting for inflation I expect it to be around $70-75K now...

First of all, if you are doing an MS from a good college (top 20), you do not need to show bogus experience. The package for these guys are $60 K in areas like Texas and else while it is around $80 K in New York and Bay Area.

All said and done, $60 K in Texas is better than $80 K in NY or BA.
