Software Tester Interview : Please Help - 03-10-2006, 02:20 PM

Hi

After having a telephone interview last week I have been asked to attend an interview on Friday, The role is for a Junior Software Tester in the city (London) and will involve training towards an ISEB qualification which would be great.

Basically I have been told that there will be some sort of practical short test involving something on a Microsoft platform. The interviewer told me this would just be used to see how I would go about testing something, as you either have the aptitude to test or not apparently. I only have a theoretical knowledge of testing through university and through reading so I have no real experience testing so am really stuck.

If anyone can offer me any advice as to what to expect and how to go about testing a product I have never used it would be really appreciated as I wouldn’t really know where to start.

Thank you so much in advance
