1 yr Exe Program from IIM C through direc Way ??

I am a 23 year old B.Tech-Mech (Govt.Engg College,Gurdaspur,Punjab) working with Hyundai Motors India Ltd. as Sr. Engineer-Sales at Delhi with 2 yrs experience.

I have been selected in to One year Executive Program for Young Professional/Manager by IIM Calcutta.It is through DirecWay HCIL.

"I have few doubts in my mind that weather how much the above program has value in the corporate world, should i go for 3 yr part time MBA. is this program will be taken as per Executive MBA ."

do it part-time in some reputed school like MDI, IMT etc whr you have to visit campus weekends or once in 3 months. dont waste money in direcway stuff sitting in some cybercafe. you need to have interaction with faculty and peers face-to-face and not thru net whr u will be one of 150+ or so. group interaction is extremely important, not the mere degree.

preferably go for full-time as you are still young and hav the right profile. 1 yr course is not considered exec MBA. it is a certification prog only.

I had heard sometime back about the direcway thingie and was very skeptical about it, did some R&D and don't really think its worth the money and effort. What else they are advertising on local cable channels by the name of IIM-C MBA course. Keep away dude, get into some reputed institutes part-time course.

Hi All,

I aminterested in finance, economics, capital markets and Investment banking. I have decided to do the CFA program offered by the ICFAI university. FYI- this not a regular course and is a distance learning one. I would like to know if any of you in PG has idea about its job placements. I am little sceptical about the distance learning programs but CFA is not offered in any other more. Please advise.
