Hi frnds,
i am facing a problem in my prepn. for cfa l1.....as i am not accounting/eco background...all accounts/eco. related stuff in the cfa institute's material is french for me . Could anyone of you help me by suggesting some basic books for accounts and economics those would build my concepts in these areas and give my prepn. a good start.

It has been after 2 months I am again active for this thread now. I experienced that lots n lots of students & professionals are going for this course. Mostly r from delhi & mumbai. The major hurdle is material cost. I am from DELHI. I have purchased the original CFA INSTITUTE MATERIAL & SHWESER NOTES, if any body is interested in sharing material can contact me on 9873567108 or email me at vishu_goel2@rediffmail.com

My advice: Work hard and stick to your schedule as material in most tough but it demads time.

Yeah the material cost is a major hurdle. I am planning for Dec 07. The material that you have..... is it for the 07 exams? How much would it amount to if I were to share the cost of the original material or get it photocopied from you?
