1. The kind of work-exp.
Here in the threads of MBA abroad it was written that there are lot of applications from software guys with 2/3 yrs exp.
So I worked hard to get into electronics hardware industry.
Now I got all this but I am not sure if it's worth. I was even called by a start-up company offering me Business- Analyst post. I turned down the offer since they were paying comparatively less and that too in Bangalore:.
What shud I do?///:tellme:
where shud I step???:2gunfire:
2. I have a lot of time. What shud be done? I mean to make the application more convincing.// like some online courses or languages///

Hi Ravi,
Congratulations on bagging these offers!
Firstly - you are on the right track..As you have realized, most of the apps abroad for MBAs are with an IT profile - hence differentiation becomes very difficult (for both the school and the applicant)..So getting into Freescale is a step in the right direction..In addition to getting yourself a different profile, freescale will be a good brand on your resume..
Some things you can do during the course of your work
1) Learn learn and learn..Try to outperform peers and try to get yourself a name in the company..Show some career progression over the months/years..It is a gradual process but you should work hard for it everyday...
2) Develop any 1/2 real extra interest..In case you used to play Cricket in college, try to get into the corporate team over there (and become the captain

) etc
3) Learn one foreign language over the next 1/2 years..
4) Community service..Try to develop some interest here and do not do it just to improve your profile..Although this is why most would do it
My 2 cents..
