My personal incline is towards Finance, coz I like dealing with figures and would to make valuable financial decisions for my firm. But then I think about the amount of experience I have spent in the IT sector. I would like if my previous experience is utilised so that I can add more value. Also browsing through the various profiles on the internet, I found that a major chunk of ITites go for an IT specialisation. Well, on the either side, if I'm making a career shift and opt for a one year MBA course unlike SP Jain DUBAI, it would be tough convincing for a career in Finance, since my whole background points to IT.
Any ideas what specialisation suites me the best ?
Thanx !

hi b_player,
In a 2-year MBA course u can decide on your specialization in the 2nd year. So, I believe u will have ample time and the necessary exposure to decide on your specialization. I think your question becomes more pertinent in the case of 1 year MBA course where we have to decide our specialization in the beginning itself.( not very sure ). I know a friend who has worked in a IT firm for 1 year and is now doing his MBA. He says if we shift from IT to finance our exp. will be wasted and we not be considered as laterals. So, he decided to do in IT now although he initially wanted to take up his specialization as finance.
