First let me know of one thing... Have you been through the experience or not? boss i m just stating the simple fact which every students who come to the Bschool will have.. first change you will have if you are really in a good bschool, is that you wont have time to put some many remarks in PG since you will be busy cracking exams and assignments... I am not trying to be super special.. this is a simple fact ...so ..i m not sure you got into Lehman Brothers or not and if yes than congrats...but u know what.. ? i personally attended many such events in the school ... and they are truelly a strong bonding experience .. and something to relish upon .. I am from XL and I know if someone choose to stay inside room and allowed to skip this.. .they are free to do so... no one has been forced .......most of the profs ar aware of this... do you think this kind of events goes un-noticed ..by the profs.. .when most of them stay inside the campus..? in the break neck competition and stressful enviroments of what grades you are getting, whether you are maintaing 6+ CQPI (since otherwise you won't be picked up for Day Zero Interviews), when just a difference of .5 marks makes a grade difference between A+ and B, when people apparently very strong mentally breaks down into tears if they don't get into the right kind of company or sit thru the first two days of placements with getting placed.. these events that you guys are pondering just act as a wild outlet to let them release the pressure cooker like stress out...someone can handle the stress maturedly without the need of these events .. however most of them can't ... i had been one of them... who can't and I don't see any reason why some of you won't be either...

when we say people are being taught(ofcourse not by profs but by seniors etc with some set agenda in mind) we have proof of that.
we don't cook up stuff just to win some petty argument.
Cheers,
Deepu.

wow i did not know ppl needed talks of a sexual expletive laden nature to calm their nerves....so much maturity...and b school is a means to a goal not and end in itself so irrespective of ppl attending it or not makes no difference.....
the fact that we have students coming directly from engg colleges with no work ex might be a reason for such immaturity....hence schools overseas have seen some reason and added the work ex criteria which even schools here are slowly realising......
empires have been built by non MBA's and MBA's run then efficiently.....

I still don't understand the "cheapness" part you alluding at. If students at B schools speak stuff which they are perfectly fine with, and If the same tradition has been continuing over the years, what then is the issue? If IIMC-XLRI share a friendship that way and no one complains, what then is the issue?
If women at B schools don't care a damn about what is being discussed, what then is the issue?
Am sure you would be knowing that a B school is a place where an individual sees a lot of stuff for the first time. At the end of the day, all rests on him/her as to what he/she chooses and what he/she avoids.
Anupam: why do I lack common sense father ?
Dad: Becoz you are Uncommon, dear son..

I have said this earlier also, by emphasising and using terms like teaching you are taking this to some other tangent. Please lets not do this, and lets keep the instis name out of it

Well, its actually quite like that The girls hostel actually has a person selected every year from PGP2s whose sole purpose is to coach women to abuse. Funny how you hit the sentiment bang on

Not everything that's need to be covered up is wrong. Sometimes things are irrelevant/inappropriate for others to know. Do you want examples?
Corruption, sexual harassment, ragging??? Err...don't throw words around just for the sake of it. Pure political bhashan full of global keywords
Hypocrisy ..Plumber was banned for using an expletive in a purely innocuous/cheesy manner, and here we are having a thread dedicated to a video full of expletives under the cosy shade of context. People ask for feedback/views and when receiving rather direct ones, hide for cover and accuse others of hypocrisy and what not.
Why can't we stop this thread, remove the vid and open a new thread to discuss all these deep routed vices in the Indian society/college/tapri etc?

If you are hell bent to do the arguments just by stretching it to a ridiculous level of high ground of morality i have nothing more to say.. bcos when you start acting like GOD no one can prove you wrong... I am much better acting like a mortal..bcos that's what I am ....
last thing ... if you spend 5-6 lakhs out of your own pocket ( i mean not dad's money, the money you take as a loan from bank and if you are from a typical middle class family having big dreams..) some of this hot air that you are having about this world is ideal .. will get released pretty soon... take down my words... and all the best for your endeavour to get into a Bschool since looks like you chose to run the empire efficiently...

And Deepu, guess what the Vid/thread at PG is doing? Paste a photo of the prostitute and her four kids on the front page of ToI along with a youtube link for one masked vid of hers with a client and then print a report that this prostitute needs a help from all of us.
