Has anyone had a hard time finding work after getting an MBA?

I'm just curious because we hear so much about how much MBAs earn after graduation, all the recruiters that come to campus, but we never hear from the ones that don't fair as well in the marketplace. I read recently that 5-10% of graduates aren't successful in job placement (at least right after graduation). Does anyone want to share their story? Or do you know of someone that couldn't get a job?

People who dont get a job after MBA , may face this condition coz of the following reason:

1. They have done MBA from a college that isnt very reputed.

2. They fare badly in the acads.

As people expect a lot after MBA and dont end up with jobs, they will obviously not share it on a site or a forum.

Still didnt get the purpose of starting this thread.

PS: I know few who didnt get jobs after MBA.

Thanks. I understand that it's a hard story to tell. But I was hoping that if we knew the mistakes of someone else, then we could all learn from it. If it's an unaccredited program, it'll be difficult to find a job (in fact, it's illegal in the U.S. to put the degree on your resume). I hear that even very young MBAs, those that go to bschool straight out of undergrad or just a couple years out, find it harder to find jobs as well, because of their lack of experience. I think young aspiring MBAs should know that going in.

My intution tells me that you are from media-sector and have decided what your story's gonna be and are trying to look for facts that suit your story? Just kidding.

In any case, please do let us know what do you mean by "not faring well in the market place". Does it mean not getting 10l, 105l etc?
