finance-right career option

hi everybdy.
Am interested in more of a ppl-oriented role,was wking as a programmer earlier and wouldnt like 2 wk again in a completely desk job . Oterwise i m pretty k with quants(actually luv it). keeping bth these facts in view (desire...rather luv 4 maths & ppl orientation)how would finance be as a career option?coz i ve heard tht the finance field is a completely desk-job ?r there any non-desk ie where u interact with customers/clients etc (& 2 wt extent?) esp curious abt investment banks?
would really appreciate ur reply...my quest 4 knowedge in this area ve till now proved futile.

You, need to look for big 5 consultants where the corporate finance advisory has a finance and ppl mgmt/client interaction role. Usually a good MBA and/or CA (Ist chance)/CFA is asked for.

I-bank KPO's usually dont have enough ppl/interaction roles till you go up the ladder to mid-mgmt level. Pure I-banking do have ppl/client mgmt, but then you need to be in top slots of IIMA/B/C/L/ISB etc.
