2. or an MBA after having atleast 2 yrs of work-ex

Note: i do not want to be a coder or an architect in the future. I want to be on the management side.
My take on this would be that you dont need an MBA to be a Project Manager. 6-7 years, if you are a consistent performer, s what you would take to reach that position.
However, if you want to switch to something like business analyst, IT sales, product development, you might plan for an MBA.

Thanks ida,

Gone through your posts for MBA in systems and thanks alot for calrifing many doubts but still want your suggestion.

Just to brief you i have 2 years of exp in manufactuing and 3 years in IT (SAP).
Right now i am working as SAP BASIS Consultant.

Planning to go for MBA and also very much interested in finanace.

My question for you

1. Shall i go for MBA in systems?
OR
2. XLRI Genral Management Programme with finance as specialization ?

Will IT companies accept me with finance specialization ? Also to be very candid to you which of above two will fetch me better package.

Also just to share with you i am not very much interested in technical stuff.Enough of it.

Any other suggestions from your side in terms of MBA streams and college will be highly appriciated.

Please suggest.

Thanks in anticipation

Well...Finally i got the post i was looking for..

Just to brief you i have work ex of 2 years in manufacturing industry.
and 3 years in IT working as SAP BASIS Consulatant with SAP PALTINUM PARTNER.

To be very candid to you i am not very much techie kind of person.
SO want to do MBA...and very much interested in Finance..For time being i have two choices in mind.

1. XLRI Genral Managemant Programme with finance specialization
2. MBA in systems (Not sure which B School is the best in India for this)

Which is better from your perspective?
Also Will IT companies entertain my first option and i will be able to get in finance.

Any different options from your side is highly appriciated.

Thanks a lot
