last yr cut offs for BIM were arnd 94-95 percentile for the general category...

yes BIM has a hostel facility...im operating from there itself...lol...

u do get north indian food in the hostel..im frm delhi myself...n im a sikh...

if u get a good percentile u shud get a call..there were no sectional cutoffs till last yr...

i dont see any preference towards south indians as such or engineers...tho

most ppl who apply maybe engineers...u get a good score..u do well in the gd/pi..u have a good chance of getting thru...

hi Nafis Khan, think Pushpreet has given sorted some of ur queries. lemme share whatever i know in addition to pushpreet's...

Delhi interview - Not sure, may open up a center for gdpi if numbers frm delhi turn out big
Hostel - Fully residential, hostels with wi-fi internet connections, flat type accommodations
north indian food - pushpreet is the best guy to answer.. lol
chances - see if u vl get a %ile of somewhere arnd 92 range.. no sectional cutoffs last year.. hope it may b the same this year too...
preference - absolutely no. some facts to prove that - pushpreet's batch has students frm 20 states and my batch has a mix from 18 states.. so that lets the talking for ur query..

any other queries?? welcome.. hope to meet u guys at our campus soon.. u'll have the previlage of being the 25th batch of BIM!!

thanks alot for such a quick response one more thing i am a hotel mgmt grad with 37 month exp with an ace hotel chain of dubai so how much do they give preference to the work ex and waht are selection criteria after shortlisting for 2nd staage

hi nafis, thanks for ur compliments. yeah, a close friend of mine here is a hotel management grad frm orissa with more than 3 years work ex. u'll have due weightage during gdpi for work ex.. give ur best shot at gdpi and pray for the best.. u'll crack through..

being a hotel management grad adds variation in the profile of ur batch and hence u may have an edge.. so as i said, give ur best shot to gdpi.. and btw, have u applied to BIM or yet to do so?

well to add on to what shailesh has told u...in our 22nd batch..there were a few hotel mgmt graduates from IHM Mumbai...and today they are happily placed and doing well

I have a overall score of 78 but I dont think that will rise to 93 percentile. I dont have any work experience? Do I stand a chance?Do BIM accepts only CAT or any other scores?

At BIM, we accept only CAT scores...well the form dates are till 18th January..u can check your percentile and apply then......i believe going through Gejos thread would give you an idea of the percentile u can manage with ur expected score..
