Dear Dilip,
1) The cut off of 75%ile remains the same irrespective of the students background.
It is a reasonable score anyways so we cannot relax it further.
Also we do test you on areas otehr than Maths/quant like Verbal, Logic, reasoning,GK etc.

2) Every year we review all our specialisations keeping in mind factors like market trends and demand and redundant spec are replaced with upcomng ones. hence we naturally feel there is a demand for managers in the HRM spec and so we introduced the same.
As i have said in my previous posts even our GLM spec started only in June 06 and students has a lot of apprehensions abt the same.
But today they hvae all been placed well and the placemnts firgures are tehre for all to see

3) Your 15months experience would definitely be considered

4) HRm starts in Singapore and ends in Dubai

Hope i have sorted all your queries
Thanks

I have primarily 4 questions to you(pls anwer all 4):

1) I have finished my Bachelors in Law from the Bangalore University with high second class. Will my graduation background be considered while considering the cut-off or will it be considered at par with a student who has finished his engineering? I am asking this as i went thru somewhere that the cut-off is 75 so "in case" if i dont get that will my application be outrightly rejected? This is my personal opinion and i dont want to generalise this- what i feel is that there should be some relaxation given to students from other backgrounds, as you see in my case i have lost touch with maths which gives me very little chance to score over even an average engineering student. Our competencies should therefore be tested in other areas. I hope you have understood me.

2) I have opted for the new specialisation i.e, HRM which is being offered for the first time and as any other student i am quite apprehensive about placements to this first HRM batch. Will there be successful placements to them?

3)I had attended the seminar which was held for prospective students and the hon'ble VP Mr. Abraham of SP Jain took the session and he was very specific that people with some experience would be given preference, so my question here would be - As i specified earlier i have recently passed out my LL.B, i have no work experience, but i have a 15 month experience as Asst. Paralegal with a law firm in Bangalore, wil this be considered or will i be given a second preference as i have understood by Mr. Abrahams words?

4) Will the whole G-HRM course be conducted in Dubai? I am asking this because when i went thru the SP Jain website i came to know that this specialisation is being introduced for the first time in only Dubai.

I hope my queries will be satifactorily answered by you, as i see you have very sincerely answered other students queries.

Thanks in advance and warm regards,

Dilip Manivala.
