Dear Rutty,
As I am pursuing my M.Sc.(Computers), i will be looking at the June 2008 admissions, for which i had a question .
Will S.P. Jain be taking another entrance test for the June intake (I missed the 4th Nov registration) ?
Since you have 2 intakes a year I wanted to know whether you take 2 SPJATs as well .
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Rutty,
I read in the forum and FAQs on SPJAIN site that it is the residential course and students are not allowed to stay off campus.
Querry:
What is the possibility of taking the spouse along with me in Singapore and Dubai.
Is it possible for the accomation at the campus itself if I am ready to bear the extra expenses.
Or will it be possible for me to make the arrangements for my wife off campus.
Please guide as it could be the deciding factor for me!
Regards,

Hi Neha,
Yes, we would have separate SPJAT's for the June 08 intake.
So you neednt worry abt having missed the 4th Nov deadline

Hi,
it is possible to get family accommodation in Singapore(at an extra cost) but we have no such provisions in Dubai.
You will have to make your own arrangements for your spouse in Dubai

Hi,
Your referees need to fill in the reference form and put them in sealed envelopes so that it is confidential and that way even you will not know what they have mentioned.
Thye may either hand it over to you for you to send it to us or they may courier it to our India Liasion Office directly.

hi rutty
hope il find my following queries answered:-
1) il b giving cat this year...for whcih i intend to apply before the november 30th deadline
bt i guess ther is a spjmat as well...so would u advise ppl to go in fr the cat scores or the spjmat...whcih scores are given more weightage and yes is there any correlatiob between the two ?
is it neccessary to clear both tests or would once suffice ?
2) Can i please knw the avergage salaries (coz the avg salaries quoted by you is 8-9 lacs)
do u think after spending 11 lacs and gettina pkg of 8-9 is justified ? I'm presently wrking for TCS , New Delhi (India) and will be completing 20 months of wrk ex once i get intoa b school.wat are my chances of gettin into laterals ? do salary packages vary fr people who are expereinced ?
3) Do companies come to spjain dubai from across the globe or is it only indain companies who come in fr placements ? The only matter of concern being th fact tht will guys be getting their money's worth or not ?
hope u l clarify my queries to the optimum level possible !!! | | | | | | | |

Hello Rutty,
I have applied for the Jan intake of the SPJCM(Dubai & Singapore) and had taken the aptitude test conducted by SP Jain on 12th August 2007 but unfortunately i got a very low score which compelled and also challenged me to take up the aptitude test once again, which is on 4th Nov. I have primarily 4 questions to you(pls anwer all 4):
1) I have finished my Bachelors in Law from the Bangalore University with high second class. Will my graduation background be considered while considering the cut-off or will it be considered at par with a student who has finished his engineering? I am asking this as i went thru somewhere that the cut-off is 75 so "in case" if i dont get that will my application be outrightly rejected? This is my personal opinion and i dont want to generalise this- what i feel is that there should be some relaxation given to students from other backgrounds, as you see in my case i have lost touch with maths which gives me very little chance to score over even an average engineering student. Our competencies should therefore be tested in other areas. I hope you have understood me.
2) I have opted for the new specialisation i.e, HRM which is being offered for the first time and as any other student i am quite apprehensive about placements to this first HRM batch. Will there be successful placements to them?
3)I had attended the seminar which was held for prospective students and the hon'ble VP Mr. Abraham of SP Jain took the session and he was very specific that people with some experience would be given preference, so my question here would be - As i specified earlier i have recently passed out my LL.B, i have no work experience, but i have a 15 month experience as Asst. Paralegal with a law firm in Bangalore, wil this be considered or will i be given a second preference as i have understood by Mr. Abrahams words?
4) Will the whole G-HRM course be conducted in Dubai? I am asking this because when i went thru the SP Jain website i came to know that this specialisation is being introduced for the first time in only Dubai.
I hope my queries will be satifactorily answered by you, as i see you have very sincerely answered other students queries.
Thanks in advance and warm regards,
