this is first year of imt dubai so...........no one can predict about placment....currently summer internship is going now....till now company like dhl,fedex,dabur,neo digital 3infotech , etc come and lots more about to come........internship still in process
expenes is around 16+lacs loan ya u can find loan easily.........

I have also received an interview call from IMT dubai. What is the selection process? Can some IMT Dubai student throw some light on what can be expected in the selection stage?
Also - just curious - Is the degree being awarded at IMT Dubai internationally recognised?

2.how many international students are there in imt dubai as some one mentioned here that imt dubai follow international standards .
3.Dubai is cool place but initially what kind of difficulties a student might face (i m sure there are some)

hi...ppl..i too have imt call...but i am amazed to see that...as i have only 80 percentile..in cat..don't know how they gave calls...and i did not apply also....to imt dubai...
my dilemma is ....mdi hr was started two year back and is the brand name today...no one.will like to miss mdi hr...but when tthis course was started ppl with 90 percen...were given calls and ppl were quite apprehensive to go for it...as it was a new one...
can anyone compare this course on the same lines?

Well TOEFL is must 2 get into IMT Dubai alongwith a good CAT/GMAT score
Yess dere is a student with 58 percentile in CAT but he was selected on d basis of his GMAT score........n currently in top 5 in class
For internship purposes,like gourav said already some companies have visited n taken students.....more r about to visit already around 30% students have opted for indian internships.....since its d very 1st batch so obviously ll take some time as we have to start from scratch.......
already some students r going to us,fiji n africa 4 dere internships...........n dis number hopes 2 grow
In Middle east normally dis process is followed,here every student is been invited 2 d company's head office 4 dere interview......so thts d way its goin on here so don't expect nething like indian work culture over here............
Place wise Dubai is a gud city wid awesome night life but d days r really hot especially in d 2nd quarter.......16 lakhs is fees but d living expenses ll cum to around 10000 indian rupees per month,mode of transport is busn taxi.....taxi is expensive but buses u won't take thts my bet......Calling back 2 india is pretty expensive through mobile so most of us r using VOIP based calls.........
Now cums d selection part:
1st step:Group discussion
2nd step:Personal Interview
After tht final result will be announced but do remember to take TOEFL as thts must
For the LOAN part,u have to arrange on ur own but surely Imt will assist dis time in getting loans at a rate lower than market rate

Hey samar..... d main problem is d hefty fees dese guys r charging.Back in india MBA degree ll cost u at max 5 lakhs but here its 16 + lakhs which by ne means is pretty much on d higher side.......n also u can say that its so commercialised dese days dat even dere r more than 1000 ppl who can pay dis but d selection is through gd n PI so u have to prove urself at dose stages......so only money won't do nething 4 u.........n apart from CAT ,GMAT scores r also taken alongwith ur exp n educational qual so ur getting only a call,converting it is a diff issue
Around 80 % of d batch comprises of ppl wid work ex wid max of 4 years
Spjain dubai/singapore is also doing d same way 4 its 1 year course..........
Also dis market is growing at a very fast rate n so r d compensation packages.......
Here most of d 16 lakhs goes into d accomodation fees bcoz thts d most expensive thing in dubai........thts 1 reason 4 charging so much n also u have to take villas n apts for lease more than a year
Like HR course of MDI,Imt has also started specialization in project mgmt,retail mgmt,International banking n finance.....already retail is booming everywhere alongwith finance so hope 4 d best..........

Hi Guys,

I am currently an IT professional working in Dubai and an aspiring MBA student but before that just wanna make sure where I wanna join is good enough and wud give give boost to my career.

Right now as v all know IMT dubai has com here now I m a bit confused between SP Jain and IMT as both are gud ones now somebody will help me out in making my decision I will be grateful. I wanna be active member of this community. have read a lot abt SP as it has been long here in this forum and felt confident abt it but having heard abt IMT I felt happy as I can have options so if somebody can help me out pointing out some strong points about IMT over SP which will help me cement my decision to go with it.

For the information of u folks I m looking for MBA in IT so that I follow the same career path. Any help wud be greatly appreciated thanks
