Hi Prof,

1. Your experience would surely be given due weigthage at the time of admission as well as by recruiters, but that again will depend on how much value you bring to table.
2. We have had people with as high as 20 yrs of work ex. and they have come back and said that MBA @ Great Lakes was a great value addition, and hence i dont see any reason for you to not apply just because of your age and work ex.
3. I would suggest you to take credit card from some of your friend and use the same as that will speeden the process especially considring the less time that is left

It would be great if you could get the application no. on the form, but in case that is not possible, i request you to make sure the same is printed on the envelope. I hope the names and other details are duly filled in the recommendation letters.

Thanks for your reply sir,

The problem is , NONE of my relatives, or friends, or colleagues hold a credit card.

Surprising ??? Yes, it is that way. I live in a place which is really backward (growing fast through rapid industrailisation though).

I have only one option- I may make a DD on monday, and send it immediately with photocopies of mark sheets, and reco letter.

Or, Glakes may enable payement through DD with Demand Draft details on online payment.

If any of the above arrangement does not work, I will be left with no choice at all, but to aim CAT 2007 (Till date I have applied only for IIMs and XLRI)

I belong to a backward place, with No body around me to discuss and sort out the problems.

Please let me know if there is a solution for special situation I am in.

The last date of applying to Great Lakes has been extended to 9th Feb, 2007.
However, this would not have an effect on the interview dates as such....

Hi FnS....as per the site the first set of GD/Interview calls will go out by 25th Jan.....just wanted to check whether you guys are coming out with the list tomorrow or has that been postponed...are u going to send these calls via e-mails??...

The website is not updated... all the calls will go out by 14-15 th Feb... keep checking ur mails.. we wud update the website !

Great!!!...will keep checking on the site as well as the mails...but i think it would be great if you could put up some sort of a list on the website stating the names of candidates who have been short listed for Interview/GD as there are instances where the mails have bounced back and this leads to confusion...m sure a common list or something will keep the anxiety of candidates at bay...but anyways..thanks for the reply..!!!!....
