As for those like me, who couldn't do very well, wanna give it a second shot, but unfortunately can't (due to some reasons)
I really wish, i too could get another chance at the CAT; but well, [i]khawb to khawb hi hai

2002-96.5 percentile . final call from TAPMI... converted MDI thro' the W/L

i gave d cat for first time dis yr but didnt make it to iim nd only landed up vid calls of ximb,nmims nd imt in my bag.Now , i want to appear again for cat next time.
But wat shud i do dis whole yr. Shud i take admission in d college i get dis time nd prepare side by side or shud i do a job nd den prepare. Also my parents want dat i shud join a b-school dis time only.
So, i m in a fix
Plzzz help me guys.Can i prepare side by side after taking admission in a b-school???

2000:Final yr BE-bad prep-worst ever paper

2002:Gave priotity to work over CAT
Result:93.47 %ile

2003/04:Quit my S/W job despite an onsite opportunity after the cancelled CAT
Result:No calls despite a net 59(IMS key)

Got a final call from IMT-joining as I'm sick of being a geek

Also can't afford the time/effort for another CAT attempt

Hats off to all those who're going in for a 3rd attempt-know a guy who made it to IIML on his 3rd straight attempt

Where was this site when i needed it the most.....better last than never....
Anyway, am a third time cat giver...
CAT 2001 - 4 IIM calls, no convert.
CAT 2002 - 0 calls
CAT 2003 Nov. cancelled CAT - Score of appx. 70 and would have cleared all cutoffs except IMS.
CAT 2004 Feb. - Sick in bed
CAT 2004 Nov. - Will start preparing later, but will be actively using inputs from this forum. Am targeting 4 IIMs and XL.
Work-experience = 2 years in sales, stationed in Bangalore and a B.Com from Aamchi Mumbai (2002).
Been through IMS course in Mumbai and Time mock cat series in Bangalore.

genesis, so unfortunate that u were sick,

CAT 2001 no calls from IIMs, call from KJ Som and SP Jain no converts

CAT 2002 2 calls L and K, no convert washout ant XL,FMS and IIFT

CAT 2003 1 call from C. Pathetic Nov exam, good one in Feb, but 4 silly mistakes in DI caused my downfall. No calls from XL. Hope to convert C.
