I have got an offer from Glakes. I need an educational loan.In the FAQ section, Its mentioned that students have option to apply Indian Bank, HDFC or State Bank of India for loan. I want to know can i apply for the loan in Chennai? Does ICICI also provide educational loan? One more thing I would like to know is about the work experience letter. When do we need to submit the work Ex letters? I am not sure if i will get the work Ex letter from my company if i am quitin by 18-Apr.

Congratulations !!

You can apply for the loan in Chennai. The inst. has a tie up with the Indian Bank which gives loan at 9% for the inst. students. You can contact the admissions office for the details.

As far as Work Exp, you need to submit to the inst when you are joining .. ie on the first day ... But they may relax the date of submission also ...

HELP REQUIRED FROM GLAKITES!!!!!!!




Myself Pooran from Gurgaon.
I sent my application on 11th of march (with two recommendation letters one persoanl and one professional). Due to delay from my HOD, couldn't sent the educational reco with the form.
I wrote for Delhi as GD/PI centre and conveyed would be bringing the edu reco on the 18th of march.

I was assured that i would recieve a call frm the institute if short listed.
I called up the admission cell today and was told the answers ranging from non reciept of application to application still under screening.
so disappointed ....neway i won't be able to go for GET/GD/PI tomorrow.

But i want your sincere help me in knowing the status of my application. If no. of students was too large to accomodate on 18th, i am ready to come down to Chennai on 25th of march, the final slot for GD/PI, provided they tell me the status of my application(rejected, accepted, not recieved......)

I do not think after mentioning three recos and almost two years of work ex. in Siemens with good acads and good Ex. act. my application should be rejected.

there are still 4 more interview slots 2 in chennai,1 in mumbai,1 in delhi..but ideally speaking since u r apping now there is only one more slot that is next week slot at chennai..so app fast..CAT 93.88 is good and u stand a decent chance..so if u r interested app as fast as you can..

ahmadazeem, vinian - me not a senior nor a chennaite...but had been to chennai yesday for the GD/PI so commenting...i suggest you take up a lodge near the central station...Or you can find lots of decent economical lodges near Egmore station...

my GDPI experience -

Moi reached d school by 9.30am, went in to find out tht i was scheduled for 11.15am slot for GD and 2.30 for PI. The campus is ok, nothing great about it, just a small little building. Me spoke to a couple of ppl who already had finished their GD and proudly was tellng everyone tht i had 3 yrs workx and ppl there gave me the expression 'So wht, dude'...btw most of the ppl had amazing workx...in my GD batch of 7, 2 had abt 7 yrs workx wid infy, a fellow Pgite Rajat aka 'ApacheAviator' a fighter pilot himself, a merchant navy officer wid 5 yrs workx, etc....

GD topic - "Liberalization is another begging bowl" I dint fare too well in this...came into the gd very few times...wud rate myself 5-6/10. d merchant navy officer did much of d talking...

after d GD, had food at Glakes canteen...ook, nthing much to talk abt it...

Had to catch d train in d eve, so got d PI advanced....d folks there were flexible and i must say they did a good job in handling d gd-pi.

now for the dreadful PI, dont want to recollect so will tel in short...three ppl in the panel, and a student (i guess) who dint ask questions but was watching silently....d ppl basically grilled me on my workx, and essays frm d form....opposing me in whtvr i said...and after a 25 min ordeal they decided to leave me....satisfied, i hope.

newys, a good experience...never have i found anywhere candidates with such a varied profile and so much experience...

@ ApacheAviator - i did c 'The angrez' today...awesome movie man...hilarious..
