accounts i will always suggest you to initially learn the basics of debit/credit from a commerce guy or pref a CA. for engineers iyts real hell to understand it initially.. btw we will be following US accounting standards.
investopedia is a great site..go thru it..its got real good stuff abt equities and what not in finance..if u r a finance buff..investopedia is a must read..unluckily/luckily i am not..so its just marketingprofs.com w.r.t me.

On the preparations front a lot has been inked since the topic was floated, just a rejoinder- Statistics can be a trump! Any class 11/12 cbse grade book should contain basics on stats. For the academically tuned i suggest going a bit more in detail. It WILL HELP. About accounts again grab a class 11/12 text book and skim through for a start. Baki Great Lakes will enlighten you

i didn't understand your question. only two recommenders are required.
the name of the people who give u ur recommendation letter should appear as recommenders.

let me know if i cudn't answere ur query.
