HI guyz,
Placement starts for us next week. hence no answers from our side. wish us luck guyz..

anyways reg freshers queries, i would suggest freshers with good acads or good CAT scores to defly apply. by good CAT score i mean anything above 90 is good. (personal opinion). we need CAT scores just to check his aptitude and if he has got above 90 means his aptitude is good. then in the interview he /she can display his /her attitude which will propel them to greater altitudes.. (B schooler naa..kindly adjust)

Hey dude ankur,
94 percentile is good..no issues..app..u shud get shortlisted..we do have a certain quota for freshers...so u do stand a chance..

cheerios,
Prashanth

p.s: some ppl have PMed me..sorry i am absolutely at loss of time to reply to personalized queries.will get back to ya after a week.

When is the last date for taking get and submitting application forms?( please tell me if i shoud take it at the earliest or if i can take it towards the end of the deadline)

I heard importance is given mainly to quants. what about verbals and reasoning. ?

And also in CTS there is 2 months notice period. I heard classes will commence by Mid of April if so can u tell me a plan of how i can come out of CTS within 15 0r 30 days if i am selected?( i am in a position wherein i cant forgo the job and prepare for GLIM )

TheyEssays I should write essays for 400words. But shoud it be strictly witin the limit as mine goes to 700.

I have asked u too many questions ...but please reply them as i am in a very tough situation. i am thinking of taking a week vacation leave and prepare.I dont get much time to read. As i reach home by nine. I read in buses and in office when i can grap time. homes i find around 1.5hrs. I know it wont be sufficient but thats the best i can put in.

In general what should be my game plan.

Please do reply
hi rich...
i dont have much idea abt the get xam as i never took it... well about the essays i wud advise u to be to-the-point and within the prescribed word limit. as i too work in cts, i think it wud be difficult to encash the accumulated leaves... in this case u might contact glakes as they offered defered admissions.... however i do not know how long u can defer it... however it all depends on the rappot u have with ur managers and directors !!!

aahaa..another CTSen...welcome aboard rich..CTSens comprise the largest population from a single company in Great lakes 2006 batch. we are 7 of us and being a former CTSen i would do the honours.

reg the notice period.. i would suggets you to appear by feb mid so that the results for you would be out by march mid.u will have a month and a half for quitting..u would defly have 15 days of accumulated leave..and managers in CTS know that april mid hell lotta CTSens quit..so generally there shud be no issues..

i quit CTS within a period of 15 days..
.. got admission on april 2nd put papers on 4th and got relieved on 19th..so chill madi..but dont app as late as i did..by mid feb, CTSens and others in companies with 2 month notice periods, do apply..

GET - more quant focussed..not as tough as CAT so chill maadi
essays- get help from guyz who have apped and got admission in first phase..(alluding to mkinra.. )

thanks and regards,
Prashanth
