Here's a personal outlook...
1) Penning down of any creativity.... humour, poetry, fiction.
2) Expressing opinions.
3) Anonymous posting - Some ppl might wish to take on some issues they feel strongly about, and discuss abt them without revealing their identities. A
blog offers this luxury.
4) Personal updates - A
blog is one place where your friends can pop in and see what you're doing. While such posts are limited in their appeal since third parties wont be interested, its an excellent way of updating your circle abt yourself.
